Shannon Bailey Grace

When I was a little girl, my mother took my sisters and me to the library every week. It was during those years that I found a love for reading and writing. I gravitated towards stories filled with magic, mystery, and the otherworldly. I also grew up surrounded by strong women who believed there are things in this world we are not meant to understand. They shared these beliefs through the stories they'd tell, and from an early age, I knew I wanted to carry on their sense of wonder through storytelling.

I graduated with a BA and MA in English, primarily studying American and British literature. Writing has always remained with me throughout my career, working in the gaming industry, then social media, and finally corporate communications. Despite having to work for my supper, I continued to write stories just for me and tell ghost stories to friends and family. I even dabbled in podcasting for a season.

Yet, it wasn't until I recently reached a milestone birthday that I began to ask myself some questions I believe most of us do at some point in our lives.

What do I want to do with the rest of my life? Is this it? 

The answers for me were clear. I revisited that young girl I was decades ago, and I rediscovered many of the lovely things I once adored, including writing and sharing my stories with others.

So, here I am currently writing a few short stories, working on my first novel (gulp), and putting together another exciting project, combining my love of story telling with an immersive experience.
